Social Outings and Special
Event
The SRWC provides an excellent opportunity to meet other women in
the community and
build new friendships. As a social outlet, members enjoy a wide
variety of activities including
monthly Bunco games, Food and Wine Pairing, and Scripps Ranch Theater Night. Dinner and Movie Talk, Walking Tours, Bowling, and Cooking Classes are all popular social events.
Board Meetings are held regularly throughout the year on
the third Thursday of the Month. Annual Events include the Board Changeover Dinner,
Membership Brunch and our Holiday Cookie Exchange. Most of the Social

Bunco
Bunco is a simple dice game - the first round everyone takes turns rolling the three dice for 1's. or three of any number. As long as you are getting points you continue rolling... when you don't roll a point the dice pass to the person to your left...and so on until the head table reaches 21 points and rings the bell. Then we change partners and roll for 2's, etc.. This is a very easy social game with lots of gossip and laughs. It is $5.00 to play and there are several categories of "winners" at the end of the evening.
Dinner and Movie Talk
If you like going to the movies and also enjoy a casual dinner with friends, then this new activity combines both. The group consists of 2 hostesses with 10 people each (group is limited to 20 members and spouses) who view preselected movies before the dinner date. Sign ups going on now!
Fine Dining & Wine Pairing
The Fine Dining & Wine Pairing group consists of sixteen couples that meet three times per year. It is designed for those passionate about cooking, eating and pairing great wine with fine cuisine. The committee will choose a seasonal menu, test and prepare each dinner, in advance.
Scripps Ranch Theater Night
The Scripps Ranch Theater night group reserves tickets each season for each of the upcoming plays at the Scripps Ranch Theater. Our theatre attendees gather at a member's home for a pre-theater party before each play, bringing along an appetizer to share and their favorite beverage.
