Winston Churchill once said "You earn a living by what you make in life, but you make a life by what you give." The Scripps Ranch Women's Club exists for several purposes and among them is giving something back to the community. We have a main charitable organization which you can read about below but we also provide support for many other things within the community. The following will give you some idea of projects supported in the last couple of years.
SR WOMEN'S CLUB
SUPPORTS
HIDDEN VALLEY HOUSE
In January, the SR Women's Club presented
a $2,500 check to the Hidden
Valley House to help it purchase final
remaining items for their remodel, and
furnishings for the shelter's babies.
SCWC has been a continuing
strong supporter of the women and
children's shelter and donates needed
items and supplies to it throughout the
year. In December, the club was
pleased to deliver a "car load" of toys to
the shelter to help make the holiday
special for the children.
The Scripps Ranch Women's Club is proud to provide help to the Hidden Valley House, a home for abused women and their children.
Please help us support our charity by providing any of the items on the list below. Monetary donations are also helpful and appreciated. For large donation items, (furniture, etc.) please call Susan Howe at 578-7452 or Lynn Parke at 549-6941. They will be able to give you the information you need to make your donation.
We will provide tax donation forms, and the Center for Community Solutions will send you a letter as your tax receipt. As with all tax donation receipts, you can then fill in what you donated and the amount on the CCS letter.
